Silver Belt Invitational |
![]() Feb 18 - Action Begins at 6:00 PM
The Caldwell Police Athletic League and the Caldwell Optimist Club are sponsoring the third annual Idaho Silver Belt Invitational at O'Connor Field House in Caldwell on February 18, 2012. This is amateur boxing at its best with teams from Idaho, Oregon, Nevada, Montana and Washington scheduled to compete. Caldwell Police officers are passionate in their desire to build strong relationships with local youth and in working together to build a better tomorrow. The P.A.L. program employs athletic and recreational activities to build trust and understanding between police officers and youth. The program's premise is that when young people are reached early enough, they are more likely to mature into responsible, law-abiding citizens. Officers' goal is to reinforce the positive values and attitudes instilled in young people by their parents, teachers and other role models - and ensure that our neighborhoods and community are a much safer place to live.
