INCIDENTSearch for Fugitive

LOCATION:   10674 Gossamer Street, Nampa

 

SUSPECT:    Fabian Salinas, age 26, of Caldwell

 

WHAT HAPPENED:    

 

On 08/11/14, at about 2:00 pm, officers were told that fugitive Fabian Salinas was in a home at 10674 Gossamer Street, Nampa, and had threatened a resident there.  Salinas has an outstanding felony arrest warrant, is a documented gang member, and is known to be armed.  Officers also have probable cause to arrest Salinas for Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer, Felony Eluding, Aggravated Battery, Burglary, and Felony Drug Possession.

 

Patrol officers surrounded the home and asked for assistance from SWAT to apprehend Salinas.  Officers were also told that there was a friendly pit bull inside the home.  SWAT spent several hours searching the house for Salinas and did not find him.  Officers safely removed the pit bull from the home early in the search.

 

K-9 teams from the Meridian Police Department and the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the search for Salinas.  

 

Salinas is considered armed and dangerous.
